At this terraced home in Newham, we built a wraparound extension, combining a side-return infill with an extension across the rear to create a larger kitchen, dining and living space. Reclaimed brickwork, sloping zinc roofs and black aluminium glazing give the extension its character. Extensive roof glazing brings daylight into the enlarged room, while bi-folding doors open onto the garden.
Our work covered the structural alterations, roofing, glazing, plumbing and electrics, followed by fitting the client-supplied kitchen. We installed wet underfloor heating beneath a tiled floor and created a downstairs shower room and WC, bringing additional practical facilities into the new layout.
If you’re considering a rear or wraparound extension, tell us about your home and the space you’d like to create. We’d be pleased to talk through your plans.
